Asha Ram Malik

Capt Asaram Malik was born at village Bhainswal Kalan in Sonepat district, Haryana.

He was graduated from Lahore University . His elder brother who had fought in WW1 sponsered his to join 18th cavlary of British Indian Army and in WW2 he had fought in North-West Africa as a jCO and got mention in despatches . after this he got commissioned in Poona Horse Regiment. He served in world war 2 . After retirement he was sarpanch of village Bhainswal Kalan, he was fond of hunting the deer in village. He was married twice , 1st one from Kiloi, his elder son is Major General Balbir Singh Malik . From 2nd wife two son; Amarjit Singh and Charanjit Singh both have retired as Colonels from Armoured Corps of Indian Army . Captain Malik is grandfather in law of para olympian Deepa Malik .
