Bari Fort belongs to the Kiledar family of Bari of Suryavanshi Bidhokhariya Jat clan. Kiledars of Bari were previously Jagirdars under Maharaja Ranas of Gohad. After Maharaja Rana shifted from Gohad to Dholpur (as per treaty with Britishers), they built the fort of Bari and Shri Kindar Singhji Bhidokharia was made the Kiledar of Bari. The Kiledar Family still resides inside Bari Fort.
