Ajada (अजाद) is a term mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi. [1]
History
V. S. Agrawala[2] writes that Ashtadhyayi of Panini mentions janapada Ajāda (अजाद) (IV.1.171) - Nothing is known about this janapda. It is connected with grazing of goats. It may be taken to be the Etawah district, the region between Chambal and Yamuna, famous for its goats.
