Ashvamedheshvara (अश्वमेधेश्वर) is an ancient pilgrim mentioned in Mahabharata. It was located on Ashva River, a tributary of Chambal River.

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[1] ने लेख किया है ... अश्वमेधेश्वर (AS, p.51) एक प्राचीन तीर्थ स्थान है जो संभवतः अश्व नदी के तट पर स्थित था। अश्व चम्बल नदी की सहायक नदी है। 'सोअश्वमेधेश्वरं राजन् रोचमानं सहानुगम् जिगाय समरे वीरो बलेन बलिनांवरः'। (महा. सभा. 29,8)

Sabha Parva, Mahabharata/Book II Chapter 26 mentions the countries Bhimasena subjugated that lay to the East. Ashvamedheshvara (अश्वमेधेश्वर) is mentioned in Mahabharata (II.26.8).[2]....Then that hero (Bhimasena) who in strength was the foremost of all strong men defeated in battle Rochaman, the king of Aswamedha, at the head of all his troops....
