Badala is a village of Hansi tehsil in Hisar district, Haryana.

Location

The Founders

  • Singhmar and Jaggal gotra Jats.
  • Chaudhary Chhajju Singhmar and Jaggal gotra Jats founded the Badala village in 1380 AD.

Jat Gotras

Many other Jat gotra people who came and settled here include the Jats from Bhambu, Punia, Ahlawat, Narwal and a few other gotras.

Population

The Badala village has population of 4856 of which 2646 are males while 2210 are females as per Population Census 2011.

In Badala village, population of children with age 0-6 is 640 which makes up 13.18 % of total population of village. Average Sex Ratio of Badala village is 835, which is lower than Haryana state average of 879. Child Sex Ratio for the Badala as per census is 734, lower than Haryana average of 834.

Badala village has lower literacy rate compared to Haryana. In 2011, literacy rate of Badala village was 70.85 % compared to 75.55 % of Haryana. In Badala, Male literacy stands at 82.21 % while female literacy rate was 57.50 %.

History

Badala is an ancient village having produced gallantry awarded defence personnel and martyrs. Agriculture is the main profession of residents of Badala.

Notable persons

  • Ram Mehar Singh Jaggal - popularly known as Ram Mehar Randa for his work as an artist in Haryanavi Comedy Drama and Bhajans.

The villagers live in the midst of natural surroundings. As they rise early in the morning, they can listen to the sweet chirping of birds. They enjoy the beauty of the rising sun and the sweet breeze of the greenery of fields around, and the various other pleasures that abound in the countryside. The villagers live a healthy, peaceful life. They breathe fresh air which promotes their health. They also get pure ghee and milk.
