Banu Tamim

Banu Tamim tribe (Arabic: بنو تميم‎), also known as the Bani Tamim tribe, are one of the main tribes of Arabia. Their history goes back to pre-Islamic Ummah of Moḥammad times. Banu Tamim often hold genealogy in high regard, carefully recording birth and family data (especially in the Arabian Peninsula).

Origin of name

The word Tamim in Arabic means strong and solid.[1]
