V. S. Agrawala[1] mentions Vishayas known to Panini which includes - Bhauriki (भौरिकि), under Bhauriki Gana (IV.2.54).
Bhauriki (भौरीकि) is a place name mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi under Kashyadi (काश्यादि) (4.2.116) group. [2]
Tej Ram Sharma[3] writes that...A Visaya denoted both a bigger unit having the status of a Janapada, and a smaller area which was but an estate. In the Rajanyadi gana, visaya denotes janapadas, while in the Bhauriki and Aisukari ganas, it is landed property, the share of estate which was the source of livelihood.
