Chichola is a Village in Khairagarh Tehsil in Rajnandgaon District of Chattisgarh State, India. It is located 42 KM towards North from District head quarters Rajnandgaon. 82 KM from State capital Raipur. Chichola Pin code is 491557 and postal head office is Chichola . Chichola is surrounded by Chhuikhadan Tehsil towards North , Rajnandgaon Tehsil towards South , Dongarghar Tehsil towards South , Dhamdha Tehsil towards East.[1]
History
Chinchâtalâî (चिन्चातलाई) , the donated village, is probably Chichôlâ (long 82° 39' E., lat. 22° 10' N.) on the left bank of the Hasdo in the Jânjgir tahsil of the Bilaspur District. It is only 8 miles north by east of Sarkho. See Sarkho Plates of Ratnadeva II - Kalachuri year 880 (1128 AD).[2]
Chinchëlï mentioned Sheorinarayan Stone Inscription Of Jajalladeva II Chedi Year 919 may be identical with Chichola (चिचोला) on the left bank of the Hasdo, about 32 miles north-east of Sheorinarayan.[3]
