Chulabhaya

Chulabhaya (33-35 AD) was a Buddhist King of Anuradhapura in the 1st century, whose reign lasted from 33 to 35. He succeeded his uncle Kanirajanu Tissa as King of Anuradhapura and was succeeded by his sister Sivali.

Mahavansa/Chapter 35 tells ....After Kanirajanu's death Amanda Gamani's son, the prince Chulabhaya, reigned a year. The king built the Culagallakavihara on the bank of the Gonaka-river to the south of the capital. After the death of Chulabhaya his younger sister Sivali, the daughter of Amanda Gamini, reigned four months.
