Dalewal Phillaur
Dalewal (Hindi: डल्लेवाल; Punjabi: ਡੱਲੇਵਾਲ) is a village in tahsil Phillaur of district Jalandhar in Punjab.

Lepel H. Griffin writes:[1] The Dallehwala confederacy took its name from the village of Sirdar Tara Singh, who was its principal leader, and who, with his followers, took possession of a great portion of the upper Jalandhar Doab, and the northern part of the Ambala and Ludhiana districts. In Firozpur he seized Dharamkot and Fatahabad. Tara Singh was killed at the siege of Narain Garh in 1807 ; and Maharaja Ranjit Singh seized his large possessions and distributed than among his Generals, Diwan Mohkam Chand receiving the lion's share.
