Dhanaulti

Dhanaulti (धनौल्टी) is a tehsil town in Tehri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand, India. It is a hill station.
Location
It is situated in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan range located 115 km from New Tehri, the district headquarter, 60 km from the hill station of Mussoorie.

Eco-parks: Dhanaulti includes an area with two eco-parks, "Amber" and "Dhara", about 200 m apart. They have been developed by the Forest Department of Uttarakhand. It houses a protected patch of small forest containing Deodar Trees. The adventure sports facility is available for visitors in the form of walking over the flying fox and burma bridges and riding horses. There is also a facility for visitors to plant a sapling of tree species in the memory of their beloved, which is called as memory sapling plantation. Mussoorie Forest Department is running eco-huts for tourists.
Surkanda Devi Temple – 8 km from Dhanaulti, on the road towards Chamba lies the Surkanda Devi Temple, famous for its Ganga Dussehra fair in autumn. It is part of the Devi Darshan triangle, which offers trekking opportunities around Dhanaulti - Surkanda Devi, Chandrabadni and Kunjapuri.
धनौल्टी
धनौल्टी मसूरी से लगभग तीस किलोमीटर दूर टिहरी जाने वाली रोड पर स्थित है। यह शांत और खूबसूरत जगह अब धीरे घीरे एक हिल स्टेशन के रूप में अपनी पहचान बनाता जा रहा है। धनौल्टी देवदार के जंगल से घिरा है। अब देवदार का जंगल ही इसकी पहचान बन चुका है।
धनौल्टी में देखने लायक़ जगहों में बारेहीपानी और जोरांडा फॉल्स, दशावतार मन्दिर, ईको-पार्क, सुरकंडा देवी मन्दिर, हिमालयन वीवर्स, जैन मंदिर आदि शामिल हैं। सर्दियों में स्नो फॉल का मजा लेना चाहते हैं तो यहाँ जरूर जाएं। यहां आप एप्पल गार्डन व्युपोइंट और घुड़सवारी का आनंद ले सकते हैं।
यहां सालभर मौसम ठंडा रहता है। दिसंबर के बाद यहां बर्फबारी होना शुरू हो जाती है। धनोल्टी मै केंपिंग की अच्छी सुविधा है। यहां एडवेंचर से भरपूर है। धनौल्टी काफ़ी शान्तिपूर्ण स्थल के रूप में भी जानी जाती है जिस कारण यहाँ पर्यटकों की भीड़ अधिक रहती है। लंबी जंगली ढलानें, ठंडी व शांत हवाएँ, स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा की जाने वाली मेहमान नवाजी, मनमोहक मौसम, बर्फ से ढंके पहाड़ यहाँ की ख़ास विशेषताओं में शामिल हैं, जो इस जगह को सुकूनभरी छुट्टियाँ बिताने के लिए एक आदर्श जगह का दर्ज़ा देते हैं।
यहां रहने के लिए कुछ होटल बन गये है। गढवाल मंडल टूरिज्म का गेस्ट हाउस भी है। शहर की भीड भीड से दूर आना चाहते हैं तो धनौल्टी आदर्श जगह है। मसूरी घूमने के बाद यहां ठहरा जा सकता है।
