Dhani Kirawar was founded by those Jats , who came from Kakroli Sardara, and Kakroli Hathi in search of land for cattle grazing and farming opportunities near Tosham tehsil in early1950's and settled here as there were barren land and pastures for cattle grazing. Slowly they purchased agriculture land from a land lord who had migrated from pakistan. He donated three acres of land for residing(Abadi) free of cost.
Mainly, some Sheoran families of Shadi, Tirkha from Kakroli Sardara and Jokhi, Hetram ,Kirpan's family from Kakroli Hukmi came and settled here. Initially, it was called as "Chhan" because there were no brick or stone made pucca houses but were made of wood/bamboo and straw/weed. In due course of time, it came to be known as Dhani Kirawar as it is part of Village kirawar but known as Chhan which is its pride.Today there are no kuccha houses in the Dhani.People feel awkward in calling it chhan. They want to rechristen it. Now there are families of Sangwan from Pichopa Kalan namely Narender Singh Sangwan,HitenderSangwan and Sorabh Virender Sangwan and from Atela -Sarup Singh, Pilania from Kakroli Hathi. One Family of Carpenter Jangra . There are families of Walia(Kalal) who came from Kakroli. The persons of this village has worked very hard and purchased agricultural land and are settled well. Most of them have sold their ancestral land at Kakroli Sardara and Kakroli Hukmi and purchased here in lieu of that.
