विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[3] ने लेख किया है .....फेनगिरि (AS, p.599): सिंध नदी के मुहाने के निकट स्थित ऐतिहासिक स्थान है। बृहत संहिता 14,5,18[4] में इसका उल्लेख है।
