November 6, 1840. Kunwar Nau Nihal Singh, Son of Maharaja Kharak Singh of Lahore, and 3rd last Maharaja of Sandhawalia Jat dynasty, died at Lahore. At the cremation of Maharaja Kharak Singh, Prince Nau Nihal Singh, while walking under an archway was seriously injured by falling stones. Udham Singh Dogra, son of Gulab Singh Dogra , walking with him died instantaneously. Dhian Singh who was following them was badly bruised. Prince Nau Nihal Singh died of injuries.
