Kushavarta (कुशावर्त) is a tirtha mentioned in Mahabharata. It is probably present Kushaghata on Ganges in Haridwar.

Kusavarta Kunda (sacred pond) in the Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple premises is the source of the Godavari River, the longest river in peninsular India. From this Kushavarta the river Godavari flows up to the sea.
In Mahabharata
Kushavarta (कुशावर्त) (Tirtha) in Mahabharata (XIII.26.12)
Anusasana Parva/Book XIII Chapter 26 mentions the sacred waters on the earth. Kushavarta (कुशावर्त) (Tirtha) is mentioned in (XIII.26.12).[1]..... Bathing in Gangadwara and Kushavarta and Bilvaka in the Nemi mountains (Nemi Parvata), as also in Kankhala, one is sure to become cleansed of all one's sins and then ascend to heaven.

2. कुशावर्त (AS, p.214) महाभारत में वर्णित हरिद्वार और कनखल के निकट एक तीर्थ-- 'गंगाद्वारे कुशावर्ते बिल्वके नीलपर्वते तथा कनखले स्नातवा धूतपाप्मा दिवंव्रजेत्' अनुशासन पर्व 25,13. यह हरद्वार में गंगा का वर्तमान कुशाघाट हो सकता है.
