History
Motamachiliya (मोटामचिलिया) is prehistoric site in Halar region of Saurashtra, Gujarat. Some Archaeologists think that the place was connected with a culture belonging to Babylonia. [1]
Two Valabhi grants of Maitraka king were found from Mota Machiala, a village near Amreli district in Gujarat. The first grant relates to Dhruvasena I dated 525 AD. In this inscription his men have been instructed to handover the Sitā, i.e. the agricultural produce to certain Brahmanas, to certain Brahmans along with taxes. The inscription of Dhruvasena II (AD 507-600) also employs the term in the same way. [2]
मोटामचिलिया
मोटामचिलिया (AS, p.762), हलार, सौराष्ट्र, गुजरात में स्थित है. इस स्थान पर उत्खनन से अनेक प्रागैतिहासिक अवशेष प्रकाश में आए हैं. कुछ पुरातत्वविदों का मत है कि ये अवशेष अणुपाषाण तथा पुरापाषाण युगों की सभ्यता से संबंधित हैं जिसका मूल स्थान बेबीलोनिया में था. [3]
बडा माचीयाला
बडा माचीयाला (गुजराती: :મોટા માચીયાળા) भारत देश में गुजरात प्रान्त के सौराष्ट्र विस्तार में अमरेली जिले के ११ तहसील में से एक अमरेली तहसील का महत्वपूर्ण गाँव है। बडा माचीयाला गाँव के लोगों का मुख्य व्यवसाय खेती, खेतमजदूरी, पशुपालन और रत्नकला कारीगरी है। यहा पे गेहूँ, मूँगफली, तल, बाजरा, जीरा, अनाज, सेम, सब्जी, अल्फला इत्यादी की खेती होती है। गाँव में विद्यालय, पंचायत घर जैसी सुविधाएँ है। गाँव से सबसे नजदीकी शहर अमरेली है।
