Madhyamaheshwar

Madhyamaheshwar (मध्यमहेश्वर) (3490 m) is a temple dedicated to Shiva, located in the Goundar village of Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India. Situated at an elevation of 3,497 m (11,473.1 ft), It is one of the Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit, comprising five Shiva temples in the Garhwal region. The other temples in the circuit include: Kedarnath Tungnath and Rudranath to be visited before Madhyamaheshwar and Kalpeshwar to be visited after Madhyamaheshwar. The middle (madhya) or belly part or navel (nabhi) of Shiva, is worshipped at this temple, believed to be built by the Pandavas of the Mahabharata.

मध्यमहेश्वर ट्रेक

ट्रेक का आधार अक्तीलधर / रांसी है जो ऊखीमठ से 22-24 किलोमीटर दूर है। वहां से ट्रेकिंग का रास्ता शुरू होता है। 6 किलोमीटर के बाद गाउंडर गाँव एक छोटी सी चट्टी है, जहाँ रहने के लिए 3 ठहरने के स्थान हैं। 2 किलोमीटर बाद बंतोली, सरस्वती गंगा और मोरखंड गंगा के संगम का बिंदु तब इसे मध्यमहेश्वर गंगा या मधु गंगा कहा जाता है। इसके बाद खटारा, नानू, मिखमबचट्टी, कुन्चाचट्टी और फिर मध्यमहेश्वर आता है। ट्रेकिंग की उचित दूरी अक्तेलधर / रांसी से 16-18 किलोमीटर है।

मध्यमहेश्वर के मार्ग में गौंडर और कालीमठ दो महत्वपूर्ण स्थान हैं। कालीमठ (1,463 मीटर (4,799.9 फीट)) विशेष रूप से, बड़ी संख्या में तीर्थयात्रियों के लिए महत्व है जो आध्यात्मिक आराम के लिए जगह का दौरा करते हैं और इसलिए इसे कहा जाता है सिद्ध पीठ (आध्यात्मिक केंद्र)। कालीमठ देवी-देवताओं के मंदिरों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है महाकाली तथा महालक्ष्मी, और भगवान शिव और उनके क्रूर रूपों में से एक - भैरव. नवरात्रि इस स्थान पर समय का विशेष महत्व है जब बहुत बड़े भक्त इस स्थान पर जाते हैं।

मधुगंगा (उत्तराखंड)

मधुगंगा (AS, p.706) : केदारनाथ उत्तराखंड के निकट बहने वाली एक नदी. इस क्षेत्र की प्राय: सभी नदियां गंगा कहलाती हैं क्योंकि अंततः है वे सभी गंगा की मूल धारा में मिल जाती हैं.
