Mameran Kalan

Mameran Kalan (ममेरां कलां) is a Village in Tehsil Ellenabad of District Sirsa in the Indian state of Haryana founded by Ch. Jeevan Ram Karwasra in 1820 AD (Vikrami samvat 1877). Mameran was named by Ch. Jeevan Ram Karwasra on the name of Mamer Khan.

A famous and old Temple of Goga Ji or Gokal Peer Ji is situated in middle of village. Two schools (Primary and Secondary) are in village to educate children. Several campaigns are performed to permote education in rural areas.
History
- In 1820AD Ch.Jeevan Ram Karwasra came here from Ghumanda in Rajasthan and bought this land from Mamer Khan (on which the name is Mameran Kalan) .
