Marawatia (मरावतिया) is Gotra of Jats found in Ratlam district in Madhya Pradesh. Marwat clan is found in Afghanistan.[1]

Marwat is Mairot Indian.[2]

The Marwat, or Maorat (an Indian tribe of the great desert) inhabit the Marwat division of the Banu district, and are a branch of the Lohani. They are partly agricultural and partly pastoral, and reckoned at eight thousand families. They are a fine, tall, muscular Rajput race. [3]
