Mehmadpur

Mehmadpur, is a small village in Patiala tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab.

The village is located on Patiala - Sangrur Road, at 13 Kms. from Patiala. Most of the Jat population belongs to Nirwan gotra. The village owes its development to S. Hari Singh, Ex-Sarpanch, who remained Sarpanch for 10 years. He got a purchase centre established on Patiala Sangrur road for convenience of farmers to sell their produce.
