In Mahavansha

Mahavansa/Chapter 28 mentions about The Obtaining of the Wherewithal to build the Great Thupa. .... In a northerly direction from the city, at a distance of seven yojanas, in a cave opening on the Pelivapikagama tank, above on the sand, four splendid gems had formed in size like to a small mill-stone, in colour like flax-flowers, (radiantly) beautiful. When a hunter with his dogs saw these he came to the king and told him: `I have seen precious stones of such and such a kind.'

Vavunikulam

Vavunikulam is a village in the Mullaitivu District, Sri Lanka, and is located about 12 kilometres west of Mankulam. Its actual name is Bavanikulam. It contains a dam that provides water to paddy fields in the region. It is also located less than 10 kilometres from the small towns of Mallavi and Thunukkai. In Tamil Bavani refer to Goddess and the second part of the name, kulam, translates to Lake.

पोलिवापिक

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[1] ने लेख किया है .....पोलिवापिक (AS, p.579) का उल्लेख महावंश 28, 39 में हुआ है। इसकी स्थिति लंका में बताई गई है। पोलिवापिक अनुराधपुर से पचास मील दूर वर्तमान 'ववुनिककुलम्' है।
