Ranku (रंकु) was name of a Janapada and were people of the same name known to Panini and mentioned in Mahabharata.

Ranku (रंकु) is mentioned by Panini in Ashtadhyayi. [1]
History
V. S. Agrawala[2] writes that Ashtadhyayi of Panini mentions janapada Raṅku (रंकु), under Kachchhadi (कच्छादि) (IV.2.133) (शैषिक अण्। काच्छ:)[3]. Raṅku janapada may have been located in Almora region, which was home of woolen blankets.
