Ranbir Singh Pura (रनबीरसिंह पुरा) is a town and also a sub-district and a notified area committee in Jammu district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

  • Naib Subedar Bana Singh - The famous personalities of R S Pura includes Naib Subedar Bana Singh P.V.C. He was awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest wartime gallantry medal in India.
  • Er. Rajinder Singh Chib, VSM, he qualified B.E. (Electronics) from BITS, Pilani (Rajasthan), Post Graduation in Industrial Management from IISC, Bangalore. He was Commissioned in the INDIAN AIR FORCE in 1963 as Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) and served for 20 years in various capacities, including: Asstt. Director, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India; Secretary, Defence Services Officers Institute, New Delhi. Awarded VISHIST SEVA MEDAL by the President of India. Inducted as Cabinet Minister in J&K Government in 1986 and worked in different portfolios viz. Forest, Tourism and Health & Medical Education.
