Surendra Singh Gohil
Surendra Singh Gohil (22) (सुरेन्द्र सिंह गोहिल) from Enabad, Dewas, Madhya Pradesh, was a Martyr of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir on 28-11-15.
Cremated in his village
The last rites of the Army jawan Surendra Singh Gohil who died in a mishap while on patrolling duty in Tangdhar sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara region were performed at his village Ainabad in Dewas district today. A large number of people had gathered to pay homage to Gohil (22), who was attached to the Rajputana Rifles. Gohil slipped and fell into a deep gorge along an icy route while patrolling on November 28. Though he was tethered by a rope to other jawans, he detached himself so as not to endanger them, according to the official statement. A contingent of about 50 jawans, led by the Commanding Officer Pushpendra Singh, saluted the brave soldier. After ceremonial guard of honour, Gohils nephew lit the pyre. Madhya Pradesh minister for Tourism and Dewas district in-charge Surendra Patwa, minister of state for School and Higher Education Deepak Joshi and Dewas Collector Ashutosh Awasthi were present on the occasion.[1]
Shaheed Bhavan in memory of Shaheed Surendra Singh to be built at enabad
Amar Shaheed Surendra Singh laid down his life for the sake of the country at the young age of 22 years. Besides, he also saved lives of his 3 companions. He will forever live in hour hearts. Shaheed Bhavan will be constructed to perpetuate his memory. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited village enabad in Sonkuchh tahasil of Dewas district, paid tributes to Shaheed Surendra Singh Gohil and consoled his parents and other bereaved family members. Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Shri Rampal Singh, Minister of State for School Education Shri Deepak Joshi and MLA Shri Rajendra Verma accompanied the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister garlanded a photograph of Shaheed Surendra Singh at his house. He met his parents and elder brothers and assured them that they would not face any problem. Madhya Pradesh government will extended every possible assistance to them. The Chief Minister said that blessed the are the parents of Shaheed Surendra Singh who have set an example of patriotism by getting recruited both their sons in the Army. Shaheed Surendra Singh is the son of entire country and state and we are proud of him. He has defended the country by staking his life.
Shaheed Smarak, Shaheed Bhavan and naming of school
The Chief Minister announced that Shaheed Smarak in memory of Shaheed Surendra Singh will be constructed on 1.50 bigha land in the village where his statue will also be installed. Shri Chouhan said that Bisakheri middle school will be named after Shaheed Surendra Singh. The Chief Minister gave assistance of Rs. 10 lakh to family of Shaheed Surendra Singh on behalf of the state government. MLA Shri Rajendra Verma also announced to give financial assistance to the family from his MLA’s Fund.[2]
26 वी बटालियन के सैनिक थे शहीद सुरेन्द्र सिंह गोहिल
शहीद के पार्थिक शरीर को उनके गांव ऐनाबाद लाया गया। सेना के एक सुजाति वाहन में उन के शव को रखा गया। उसके पिता रणवीर सिंह व बड़ा भाई महेंद्र वाहन में बेठे थे। पूरा गांव शहीद के याद में आसु बहा रहा था साथ ही उनको इस बता का फक्र भी था उनके सपूत ने गांव के साथ पुरे जिले का नाम रोशन कर दिया। पूरा गांव सुरेन्द्र के नाम से गूंजा । अन्तिम दर्शन के लिए जिले के प्रभारी मंत्री सुरेन्द्र पटवा मंत्री दीपक जोशी पूर्व संसद साजनसिंह वर्मा विधयाक राजेन्द्र वर्मा कलेक्टर आसुतोष अवस्थी सहित सेना के अधिकारी सहित पुलिस के आल अधिकारी उपस्थित थे साथ ही वहां पर घोषणा की गई एक ब्रिज का नाम शहीद के नाम रखने व उस के गांव में उस के समारक बनाने की घोषण की गई। शहीद को मुखगनि उसके भतीजे संदीप गोहिल ने दी। इस अन्तिम दर्शन के लिए बड़ी संख्या में लोग उपस्थित थे। इस के पूर्व सेना व पुलिस के जवानो ने शहीद को सलामी दी।[3]
कश्मीर में शहीद हुए जवान सुरेंद्र सिंह को ऐसे दी गई अंतिम विदाई
जम्मू-कश्मीर में शहीद 20 वर्षीय जवान सुरेंद्र सिंह गोहिल का पार्थिव शरीर सोमवार सुबह उनके गांव देवास जिले के ऐनाबाद लाया गया। सेना के जवान उनका पार्थिव शरीर लेकर यहां पहुंचे और इसके बाद पूरे राजकीय सम्मान के साथ उनका अंतिम संस्कार किया गया। शहीद को अंतिम विदाई देने प्रदेश सरकार के दो मंत्री दीपक जोशी और सुरेंद्र पटवा भी ऐनाबाद पहुंचे।[4]
