V S Agarwal[1] mentions.... Shikhavala (शिखावाल) (IV.2.89), name of a nagara according to the Kasika; probably Sihawal on the left bank of the Son in Rewa State. Panini again refers to Shikhavala as a proper name (Danta-Shikhāt samjanayam (V.2.113).
History
Vasudeva Saran Agrawala[2] has identified it with Sihaval, a town and tahsil in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh.
शिखावल
शिखावल (AS, p.898) नामक ऐतिहासिक स्थान का उल्लेख पाणिनि की 'अष्टाध्यायी' (अष्टाध्यायी 4,2,89) में हुआ है। इतिहासकार वासुदेव शरण अग्रवाल के अनुसार यह रीवा (मध्य प्रदेश) (वर्तमान सीधी) में स्थित 'सिहावल' नामक स्थान है। [3]
