Tamraruna (ताम्रारुण) is a tirtha mentioned in Mahabharata (II.82.133). It is probably located in Himalayas.[1]

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...ताम्रारुण (AS, p.397) का उल्लेख महाभारत, वनपर्व 84, 154 में हुआ है, जहाँ इसका उल्लेख इस प्रकार है- 'ताम्रारुणं समासाद्य ब्रह्मचारी समाहित:, अश्वमेधभवाप्नोति ब्रह्मलोकं च गच्छति' महाभारत, वनपर्व 84, 154
उपर्युक्त प्रसंग से यह हिमालय का कोई तीर्थ स्थल जान पड़ता है।
