M.K. Sharan [3]has enlisted about twenty-four types and Symbols on the coins of the Yaudheyas which may point to their religious leanings as well bear out some aspects of their social life. One of them is (S.No. 9.) Scythic-like object (Yupa). [4]

James Todd writes that Some sacrificial pillars (yupa) were recently found in the bed of the Jumna near Mathura, with inscriptions dated in the twenty-fourth year of Kanishka's reign, about A.D. 102. [5]
