It is the village of Subedar Richhapal Ram Lamba (August 20, 1899 - February 12, 1941), who was twice the winner of prestigious Victoria Cross award, which is a record of bravery unparallel in Indian Army, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was son of Mohar Singh Lamba.
