Velar

Velar (वेलार) (Welar) is a historical village in Bali tahsil in Pali district in Rajasthan. It has a Jain tirtha sacred to Adishvara.

Origin

Its ancient name was Vadhilada (वधिलद) as we learn from an epigraph of V.S. 1265 (1208 AD). The epigraph mentions Shantisuri of Nanakiya gachchha.^[1]
