Motitalaba

Motitalaba (मोतीतालाब) is a lake near Pandavapura in Mandya district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The place was used as the camping ground by the French army, which came to help Tippu Sultan in his war against the British.

Motitalaba मोतीतालाब, मैसूर]] (AS, p.762): मैसूर से मेलूकोटे जाने वाले मार्ग पर दोनों नगरों के बीच यह नीले जल [p.763]: से भरी झील स्थित है. इसका बांध 900 वर्ष प्राचीन माना जाता है. झील के निकट ही फ्रैंच फ्रॉक्स नामक स्थान है जहां हैदर अली और टीपू के सहायक फ़्रांसीसियों ने अपनी सेना का मुख्य शिविर बनाया था.
