Talan (तलान)[1] Talan (तालान) [2] Talhan (तहलान)[3] Tehlan (तहलान)[4][5] Tahlian (तहिलान)[6][7], Talanian (तलानियान )[8][9]Talanu (तलानू )[10][11]Gotra Jats live in Punjab, Harit Pardesh, Delhi NCR and Delhi. Talan's refers as Punjabi Jatt ( Pachhade Jatts ).
Origin
Talan ancestors came from Punjab to Western U.P. during Banda Singh Bahadur's assault on the Mughal power at Saharanpur in 1711and 1783 during Dilli Fateh by Baba Baghel Singh Dhaliwal. Whatever their date of settlement they are certainly the descendants of Sikhs. Ancestors of Talan's belong to Punjab and some people was migrated in "'1945 and 1946'" Talan's" Migrated towards Delhi because of Partition. Due to migrative nature Jat always migrate one place to another and there language is change according to surroundings. Talhan/Talan are mostly found in the western districts of Harit Pardesh & Delhi. There are more than 400,000 Pachhade's (Punjabi's) there.

History
The Talan is a Punjabi Jat gotra clan found in India. Talan Jat tribe was originated from Jalandhar, Punjab. Talan clan people follow Sikhism or follow Hinduism. The Talan People present population reside in Punjab, Delhi, Harit Pardesh.According to the author of the Gazetteer of the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh writing in 1878 these tribes migrated about a hundred years ago from Punjab to their present areas(Delhi-NCR) and settled there. The author also remarks that the mother tongue of "' Talan People "' is Punjabi but due to surrounding they speak Hindi and some of them was migrated during the time of partition from Punjab toward the Delhi & they settled down there. Some Talan Villages is near by Noida International Airport.
Language
Language/Boli : The language spoken is some distorted form of Punjabi . It has 60% hindi and 40 % Punjabi. Example : “Where are you going ” will be spoken as “kithhe nu jaaye raye ho” and "What are you doing will be spoken as "Ki kr rhe ho".
Religion
According to historical the religion of Talan people was Sikhism but when they migrated from Punjab to other states so, the people are registered as Hindus in 1950 in their religio. They all go to gurudwaras and all Talan are the descendants of Sikhs. Overall it has lot of influence of Sikhism. Ladies do fasting also and going to gurudwara.People registered as Hindus because of SGPC and other bodies have failed to attract people and tell them there history.
