Baghial

Baghial (बघियाल) Baghiar (बघियार) Bagiar (बगियार) Bhagiara is a Muslim Jat clan found in Pakistan.

History

Ram Sarup Joon writes that...About 70 Jat Gotras joined the Gujar force and started calling themselves Gujars. Bagiar is one of them.

According to 1911 census the Baghial were the principal Muslim Jat clan in:

• Rawalpindi District - Baghial (96)
• Shahpur (Sargodha District) District - Baghiar (807)
