Ball (बल्ल)[1] is gotra of Jats in Punjab.
Origin
This gotra is said to be started from their ancestor Raja Ballabha (बल्लभ). [2]
In Mahabharata
Anusasana Parva/Book XIII Chapter 4 mentions the ancestry of Vallabha as under:
Ajamidha → Jahnu → Sindhudwipa → Valakashwa → Vallabha → Kushika → Gadhi
