Brihadrata Maurya
Brihadratha Maurya (c. 195 BC-187 BC) was the last ruler of the Mauryan Empire founded by Chandragupta Maurya.
During his rule, Maurya territories had shrunk a lot as a result of internal revolts and external aggression.
He was killed in c. 187 BCE when he was inspecting his army parade by his commander-in-chief, Pusyamitra Sunga, who then established the Sunga, a Brahmin dynasty at Patliputra.
