Dhandhupura (धांधूपुरा) a village and it was a small fortress of Sikarwar gotra Jats near Agra city in Uttar Pradesh.

Brief History

The founder of the village was thakur Ram Singh. This area of Dhandhupura was centre of army avctivities since 12th century. There were gardens of Amir-ul-Umras during Mughal period. There was a royal well on left side of Fatehabad Road-Pandit Satyanarayan Kaviraj Road leading to Dhandhupura, which was to be used for the army during Mughal rule. During British time the Jagir of Dhandhupura was with the thakurs of village.

Notable Persons

  • Chaudhary Udaybhan Singh, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) to constituency of Fathepur Sikri, Agra (17th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, March 2017). He had also successfully contested to become MLA to constituency of Dayalbagh, Agra in year 1993.
  • Sanjeev Pal Singh, Associate Professor, Raja Balwant Singh (Post Graduate) College, Agra. He is fortunate son of Chaudhary Udaybhan Singh, incumbent MLA to Fathehpur Sikri, Agra.
