विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...डोमिनगढ़ (जिला बस्ती, उ.प्र.) (AS, p.382): प्राचीन बौद्ध स्मारकों के अवशेषों के लिए यह स्थान उल्लेखनीय है. जिला बस्ती तथा नेपाल की सीमा पर बुद्ध के समय में लुंबिनी तथा कपिलवस्तु नामक प्रसिद्ध स्थान थे.
