Dudha Ganga

Dudha Ganga (दूध गंगा) is a right bank tributary river of the Krishna River in western India.

Course

It rises in Kolhapur district of Maharashtra in the Western Ghats and flows eastward through Kolhapur district and Belgaum district in Karnataka before joining the Krishna River. In parts of its course it forms part of the boundary between Karnataka and Maharashtra.

The river is dammed to form the Kalammawadi reservoir in the west of Kohlapur district.

Dudhganga in Kashmir

Dr Naval Viyogi[1] writes.... In the district of Nāgām (Ancient Nāgrām) which is watered by the Dudhganga (Milkganga) a small stream which joins the Vitasta at Srinagar, there is a small lake, likewise, known by the name of Neelanaga.
