History
Ghotra is Gotra of Jats found in Ghaziabad , Hapur , Bulandshahr and Bijnor district in Uttar Pradesh. The ancestors were the kinsmen of prominent freedom-fighter of the revolt of 1857. The Jats from Sikandrabad area began demolition of inspection-bungalows, telegraph offices, and government buildings as they were perceived to be symbols of foreign rule. Ch. Charan Singh was born inNoorpur which is adjacent to the Sikandarpur Kakaudi, district Hapur of Uttar Pradesh. The people love to serve the country by joining Indian defence services.
