Harsana Kalan

Harsana Kalan (हरसाणा कलां) is a village in Sonipat district and tahsil in Haryana.

History

There used to be a small village in New Delhi area called Malcha, on the spot where Chanakyapuri is now located. Kuhad gotra jats used to reside there. Since the land was required for establishing the diplomatic area of Chanakyapuri, Malcha village was shifted to Sonipat area and the residents of Malcha settled in Harshana Kalan village.

In memory of Malcha village, there is now a famous road in Chanakyapuri, named Malcha Marg.
