- Jag (Jat clan) = Jagu (जागु). Jagu is mentioned in 'Boria Statue Inscriptions of Jasarajadeva Kalachuri year 910 (1158 AD)'....The object of it is apparently to record that the statue on which it is incised represents Jāgu (जागु), the son of Dhirachhendra (धिरछेद्र), who was a military officer, evidently, of Jasrājadeva. He is stated to be a devoted disciple. [5]Boria is village in Bodla tahsil of Kawardha district in Chhattisgarh. It is located at about 20 miles to the north of Kawardha.
