Political career
Ku. Jagat Singh won the last election (14th Vidhan Sabha) in Dec. 2013 from Kaman constituency on B.J.P. party's ticket.
On earlier occasions, he has also been a member of Rajasthan Vidhan Sabha during 12th Assembly, when he was an MLA from Laxmangarh constituency in Alwar district. At that time, he had fought election from the Congress Party's ticket. Later, this constituency was made a Reserved Constituency. The Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee had expelled him from the party for his alleged involvement in the oil-for-food scam and for "anti-party activities".

- Riding on the saffron wave in the Assembly elections in the desert state, Jagat defeated sitting Congress MLA Zahida Khan by 3,357 votes in Kaman constituency in Mewat region which falls under Bharatpur district.
