Jintur

Jintur (जिंतूर) is a city in Parbhani district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Location
Jintur is located at 19.62°N 76.7°E. It has an average elevation of 455 metres (1492 feet).
Variants
History
The Jain temple of Parasnath near Jintur is carved inside a rock with a narrow dark passage leading to the domed building. There are several figures beautifully carved in stone and the central figure is 12 feet high carved in a greenish stone. Important dargahs in the district are those of Khani Alam at Basmat, of Hazrat Shamsuddin and Hazrat Shah Mastan at Jintur and of Hazrat Shah Ismail at Kunri. [1]

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ...जिंतूर (AS, p.365) परभणी ज़िला, महाराष्ट्र का ऐतिहासिक स्थान है। इस स्थान पर मुस्लिम संत 'शम्सुद्दीन' तथा 'शाह मस्तान' की प्राचीन दरगाह हैं।
