Manu prayed to Vishnu for one hundred years for other sons. He got ten sons like unto himself. Ikshvaku was the eldest.[1]

Vishnu Purana/Book IV:Chapter I gives Genealogy of Narishyanta as under:

The Manu Vaivaswata was the son of the celestial luminary; and his sons were Ikshwáku, Nriga, Dhrisht́a, Śaryáti, Narishyanta, Pránśu, Nábhága, Nedisht́a, Karúsha, and Prishadhra.

कारंधम

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर[2] ने लेख किया है ... कारंधम (AS, p.171) - 'तानि सर्वाणि तीर्थानि तत: प्रभृति चैवह, नारी तीर्थानि नाम्नेह ख्यातिं यास्यन्ति सर्वेश:' महाभारत आदिपर्व 216,11. उपर्युक्त श्लोक में जिन तीर्थों का निर्देश है वे ये हैं--अगस्त्य, सौभद्र, पौलोम, कारंधम और भारद्वाज (महाभारत आदिपर्व 216,3-4). ये पाँचों तीर्थ दक्षिण समुद्र के तत पर स्थित थे-- 'दक्षिणे सागरानूपे पंचतीर्थानि सन्ति वै', पुण्यानि रमणीयानि तानि गच्छत माचिरम्। (महाभारत आदीपर्व,216-17). अर्जुन ने इन तीर्थों की यात्रा की थी.
