Karezat

Karezat is a very large sub tehsil of district Pishin of Balochistan province, Pakistan.

Location

Situated in the north east of Pishin.

Origin of name

Tehsel Karezat gets name from Karezs who lived in these villages. At present just one karez remains that too in village Khushab, there are no more due to global warming case.Karez is a gently sloping underground channel with a series of vertical access shafts, used to transport water from an aquifer under a hill.
