Miss Kirandeep Jakhar a resident of Killianwali village, near Abohar in Panjab, was crowned Miss World Punjaban at a contest held at Ludhiana. The contest among the shortlisted 16 finalists was presented before a 10,000-strong gathering at the GRD Academy. The event was telecast ‘live’ throughout the world.
