Kishangarh Fort, Kishangarh Bas, Alwar, Rajasthan.

The Fort and town of Kishangarh was built by Thakur Kishan Singh Jat who was a officer of Maharaja Suraj Mal. The construction of Kishangarh started in 1748. Kishan Singh also built the temple inside the Fort which is known as Kishaneshwar. Kishan Singh held the fort and villages under present Tehsil of Kishangarh as a revenue officer of Maharaja Suraj Mal. (Source - Jat Kshatriya Culture

इतिहास

इतिहासकार उपेन्द्रनाथ शर्मा के अनुसार मेवात पर अधिकार करने के पश्चात महाराजा सूरजमल ने किशनगढ़ बास (पुराना नाम बलोच बास) नामक नए शहर को बसाया था। महाराजा सूरजमल ने किशनगढ़ बास में किला(पुराना किला किशनगढ़ बास),हरदेव जी का मंदिर और कुछ हवेलियों का निर्माण कराया था। (Source - मानवेन्द्र सिंह)
