History

In the Karimnagar taluq, Bijikhi has an old sculptured Siva temple the four central columns of whose mandapa are well-carved, while Kotapetta has a temple of the Chalukyan (Kakatiya) period.

विजयेन्द्र कुमार माथुर ने लेख किया है ...कोटपेट्ट (AS, p.230) करीमनगर ज़िला, तेलंगाना में स्थित है। ऐतिहासिक दृष्टि से यह स्थान काफ़ी महत्त्वपूर्ण है। चालुक्य कालीन वास्तुकला के उदाहरण के रूप में एक सुंदर मंदिर के अवशेष यहाँ स्थित हैं।
