Kukadi Khapa (कुकड़ी खापा) is a village in Mohkhed tahsil in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. There is Kukadi Khapa Waterfall, Good scenic place, basically in rainy season.

The place is near about 100km from Nagpur. It is on Nagpur Chhindwara road after crossing the "ghat" next to Ramakona. KukdiKhapa is equi-distant from Umaranala and Ramakona and hence accessible from both the places. After ghat you need to take right (when going to words Chhindwara.) . A board is available there to indicate the way to Kukdi khapa falls. It is about 9km from main road. Both road condition is good.

KukdiKhapa is also a small village in the Chhindwara district. Around 700 villagers reside in this small village.

History

Kukadi Khapa Waterfall

The picturesque location of Kukdi Khapa waterfall is found along the Chhindwara to Nagpur narrow gauge railway line, between the stations of Umaranala and Ramakona. The waterfall is situated in the panoramic Sillevani mountain range. The height of this fall is approximately 60 feet. The location is more beautiful and picturesque immediately after a spell of good rains. While travelling in the train along the narrow gauge railway toward Nagpur one can see this beautiful picnic spot.

The location of the KukdiKhapa falls is quite unique, surrounding itself in nature’s full bounty. It is also home to some exquisite species of flora and fauna. The forest area around the falls is thickly wooded, sheltering unique wilderness. The area surrounding the KukdiKhapa falls is not only home to animals, but also inhabited by local tribal people. The tourists can gain insight into their exquisite culture and handmade artifacts. The best time to visit the falls is in the months of March to October.

कुकड़ीखापा झरना भारत के मध्य प्रदेश राज्य के छिंदवाड़ा जिले में स्थित है। यह झरना सिलेवानी पर्वत श्रृंखला का एक हिस्सा है। छिंदवाड़ा-नागपुर मार्ग पर इन झरनों को देखा जा सकता है। कुकड़ीखापा की ढलान ज़मीन से लगभग 60 फ़ीट है। आमतौर पर स्थानीय लोग दोस्तों और परिवार के साथ एक दिन की पिकनिक के लिए झरने पर जाते हैं। झरने पर अक्सर आने वाले अन्य आगंतुक आम तौर पर पर्यटन योजनाओं का हिस्सा होते हैं। कुकड़ीखापा उमरानाला और रामकोना से समान दूरी पर है और इसलिए दोनों जगहों से पहुँचा जा सकता है। मानसून के बाद, पानी में अधिक धाराओं के साथ झरने अपने चरम पर होते हैं।

कुकड़ीखापा झरने एक महत्वपूर्ण और लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थल हैं। छिंदवाड़ा रेलवे स्टेशन से रेल द्वारा उन तक पहुंचा जा सकता है। झरने के सबसे नज़दीकी हवाई अड्डा नागपुर में है। मध्य प्रदेश में पर्यटन जोर पकड़ रहा है और इसलिए राज्य के सत्ताधारी अधिकारी राज्य में बुनियादी सुविधाओं को बेहतर बनाने के लिए कदम उठा रहे हैं।

कुकड़ीखापा झरने का स्थान काफी अनोखा है, जो प्रकृति की भरपूर सुंदरता से घिरा हुआ है। यह वनस्पतियों और जीवों की कुछ बेहतरीन प्रजातियों का भी घर है। झरने के आसपास का जंगल घना जंगल है, जो अद्वितीय जंगल को आश्रय देता है। कुकड़ीखापा झरने के आसपास का क्षेत्र न केवल जानवरों का घर है, बल्कि स्थानीय आदिवासी लोगों का भी घर है। पर्यटक उनकी बेहतरीन संस्कृति और हस्तनिर्मित कलाकृतियों के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। कुकड़ीखापा भी छिंदवाड़ा जिले का एक छोटा सा गाँव है। इस छोटे से गाँव में लगभग 700 ग्रामीण रहते हैं। झरने को देखने का सबसे अच्छा समय मार्च से अक्टूबर के महीने हैं।
