Lohegaon (लोहगांव) is a small satellite town of Pune, Maharashtra, India. It is primarily known for the Pune Airport, a customs airport. It comes under Pune Municipal Corporation.

Location

There is a road which connects Lohagaon and Wagholi, which in turn connects to the Ahmednagar highway. Roads from Vishrantwadi, Dhanori, Vadgaon Shinde and Wagholi meet at Lohagaon. This area has a mix of cityside and countryside, Lohagoan lies between Vishrantwadi, Viman Nagar, Wagholi and Vadgaon Shinde. Half of Lohagaon's area comes under Pune Airport, because the IT parks in Viman Nagar are growing the area fast and making it a major residential area.

History

लोहगांव (महाराष्ट्र)

लोहगांव (AS, p.823) महाराष्ट्र में स्थित है. इस गांव का संबंध महाराष्ट्र के प्रसिद्ध संत कवि तुकाराम मृत्यु (1649 ई.) से बताया जाता है . यहां इनका एक प्राचीन स्मारक है. वारकर-संप्रदाय के भक्त देहू तथा लोहगांव की यात्रा करते हैं. [1]
