Madanapalle

Madanapalle is a city in Annamayya district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on Ram Van Gaman Path.

Madanapalle was founded by Sri Maadanna in 1618 AD.[1]
During the early British administration, Sir Thomas Munro, the first Collector of Cuddapah, played a significant role in the development of the town. He constructed a small thatched house at the present-day location of the Collector's bungalow and visited Madanapalle every summer. Munro’s connection with the town is well documented, as he facilitated British control in the region during the early 19th century. Madanapalle and its surrounding areas were formally integrated into the British administration when the region came under their rule in 1800.[2]
Madanapalle is also linked to a significant moment in India's national history. In 1919, Rabindranath Tagore visited the town and stayed at the Besant Theosophical College, where he translated the Indian national anthem, Jana Gana Mana, from Bengali to English. Tagore also set it to western musical notations while in Madanapalle. Jana Gana Mana was originally written in 1911 and first sung at the Indian National Congress session in Calcutta on 27 December 1911.
मदनपल्ली
मदनपल्ली (مدنپلی ) आंध्रप्रदेश, चित्तूर जिले का एक शेहर और पुरपालिका है। यह एक मंडल और मदनपल्ली राजस्व प्रभाग का मुख्यालय है। यहां पर रेशमी साडियां बुनने और तयार करने के कारखाने जियादा है।
इतिहास: 1618 ईस्वी में श्री अहोबिला नायडू ने मदनपल्ली की स्थापना की थी। सर थॉमस मुनरो कडपा के पहले कलेक्टर थे। उन्होंने वर्तमान कलेक्टर के बंगले में एक छोटा सा घर बनाया और हर गर्मियों में मदनपल्ले का दौरा किया। 1850 में, मदनपल्ली को उपविभाग के रूप में विकसित किया गया था और एफबीमेनोली पहले उप कलेक्टर थे। इस शहर में बाढ़, अकाल और महामारी जैसे कई प्राकृतिक आपदाएं हुईं।
रवींद्रनाथ टैगोर ने बंगाली से अंग्रेजी में " जन गण मन " का अनुवाद किया और इसे मदनपल्ली में संगीत में भी स्थापित किया। राष्ट्रीय गान 1911 में रवींद्रनाथ टैगोर ने लिखा था और उस वर्ष 27 दिसंबर को कलकत्ता में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के वार्षिक सत्र में गाया गया था। लेकिन यह वास्तव में बेसेंट थियोसोफिकल कॉलेज, मदनपल्ली में किया गया था, जहां टैगोर फरवरी 1919 में कुछ दिनों तक रहे थे, तब परिचित धुन स्थापित किया गया था। यह शिक्षाविद डॉ। जेम्स हेनरी कजिन्स की पत्नी, मार्गरेट कजिन, जिन्होंने " जन गण मन " के लिए धुन बनाई थी। डॉ जे एच कजिन्स मदनपल्ली कॉलेज के प्रिंसिपल थे इस कालेज के व्यवस्थापक डॉ एनी बेसेंट थी।
